Scanning Simplified- By Tess

The scans that are performed in the office provide valuable insight to the Chiropractor and you as to how your nervous system (that oh-so-important communicator between your brain and your body) is functioning and can be a useful tool for measuring your progress.

We perform 3 scans, each with a different purpose and together they provide a picture and give you a corescore.

  1. Resilience

Untitled 52

The Heart Rate Variability (HRV) scan allows us to look deep with the nervous system and understand it’s balance.

Under long-term stress the body learns to compensate and loses the ‘edge’ of the nervous system control over how we feel and function

The HRV reads the beat patterns that are governed by this part of the nervous system revealing how the body is set up to be adaptive and resilient.

The Static Electromyography (EMG)

This scan allows us to understand the firing sequences between the brain and all of the muscles down the spine.

From this we can detect misalignments and compensations in posture, not only where in the spine, but how much energy is being wasted by being out of balance.

  1. DepthUntitled 51

The Neuro Thermal scan measures the temperature of the skin along the spine. That same function (from brain to body) controlled by nerves that regulate temperature, also regulate our body’s organs and glands.

Stress within the nervous system can go deeper than what we can feel and begin to affect our entire health.

This scan provides valuable insight into how the health of our nervous system is impacting us on a deeper level.

Our Corescore

All 3 scans offer a detailed picture into how the nervous system is functioning and we can track the changes with periodic progressive exams – how cool is that?!
